Etymology
From Proto-Albanian*dźārnā with long *ā < *ē, from Proto-Indo-European*gwher-(“to swallow”). Close to Lithuanian žarnà(“gut”), Latvian zarna(“intestines”), Old Norse gǫrn(“gut”)[1].
