- A brown pill used in traditional Chinese medicine "to replenish the liver and kidney and strengthen the tendons and bones in the treatment of deficiency syndrome of the liver and the kidney marked by aching and limpness of the loins and knees and weakness in the legs, causing difficulty in walking".
