Usage notes

The suffix 는다 (neunda) is directly attached to the stem of a verb that ends in a consonant other than (l).

E.g. (ssipda, “to chew”)친구가 껌를 씹는다. (Chin-guga kkeomneul ssimneunda., “My friend is chewing a gum.”)

If the stem ends in a vowel or the consonant (l), ㄴ다 (nda) is used instead. See ㄴ다 (nda).
