1. (dated) to make fleecy, shaggy
2. (dated, regional) to cover with moss, to stuff or caulk with moss

   В старину́ в Росси́и деревя́нные дома́ и амба́ры мши́ли, то есть конопа́тили мхом, что́бы зимо́й в них бы́ло тепло́.‎

   V starinú v Rossíi derevjánnyje domá i ambáry mšíli, to jestʹ konopátili mxom, štóby zimój v nix býlo tepló.

   In the old days in Russia houses and barns were mossed, that is, caulked with moss, to make them warm in winter.
