Usage notes

Classically used only in the plural ականջք ‎(akanǰkʿ), referring to both ears; ունկն ‎(unkn) referred to a single ear. This is one of few words in which the Proto-Indo-European dual number has survived. See ակն ‎(akn)/աչք ‎(ačʿkʿ) for another example.
