עַמּוּד • ‎(amúd) m ‎(plural indefinite עַמּוּדִים, singular construct עַמּוּד־, plural construct עַמּוּדֵי־)

1. a pillar, a column, a post
   • Exodus 26:32, with translation of the New International Version:

     וְנָתַתָּה אֹתָהּ עַל־אַרְבָּעָה עַמּוּדֵי שִׁטִּים מְצֻפִּים זָהָב וָוֵיהֶם זָהָב עַל־אַרְבָּעָה אַדְנֵי־כָסֶף׃‎

     Hang it with gold hooks on four posts of acacia wood overlaid with gold and standing on four silver bases.

   • Judges 16:26, with translation of the New International Version:

Usage notes

• In the sense of "page," עמוד generally refers to a page in a book but is sometimes used to reference things like web pages, for which the word דַּף is also used.
