四段活用 (hiragana よだんかつよう, romaji yodan katsuyō, historical hiragana よだんくわつよう)
- (grammar) quadrigrade conjugation; a verbal conjugation class consisting of four alternating bases: -a, -i, -u, -e. Examples:
