Usage notes

  • Technically, 幾個 jǐgè should only be used with nouns that have 個 gè as a primary measure word. Moreoever, 幾個 jǐgè is only used when the answer to "how many?" is expected to be under ten. For amounts that are expected to exceed ten, 多少 duōshǎo is used.
