Usage notes

The suffix 더 (deo) is directly appended to the stem of a verb, an adjective, or 이다 (ida, “to be”), or the suffix 시 (-si-, honorific), 었 (-eoss-, past tense), or 겠 (-gess-, future tense). Only certain suffixes, including -라 (-ra), -냐 (-nya), -니 (-ni), -구나 (-guna), and -구려 (-guryeo), follow 더 (deo).
