   Allir þurfa að leggja reglurnar á minnið.

   Everybody needs to memorise the rules.

Usage notes

• The thing or object which is being memorised or kept in mind is used between leggja and á minnið ‎(“on memory”) in the accusative form:

  Við þurfum að leggja alla bókina á minnið fyrir prófið!

  We need to memorise the whole book for the test.
