1. (usually followed by 於 + someone) to vent one's anger; to take one's anger out on someone (who does not deserve it)

   有顏回者好學，不遷怒，不貳過。 [Classical Chinese, trad.]

   Yǒu Yán Huí zhě hàoxué, bù qiānnù, bù èr guò. [Pinyin]

   There was Yan Hui; He loved to learn. He did not transfer his anger; he did not repeat a fault.
