1. scythe (farming tool consisting of a bent blade attached to a long handle (a snath), used for cutting grass, cereals, etc.)

   asa izkapts‎ ― sharp scythe

   izkapts kāts‎ ― scythe handle, shaft (= snath)

   izkapts labi kož‎ ― the scythe bites (= cuts) well

   asināt izkapti‎ ― to sharpen the scythe

   pļaut sienu ar izkapi‎ ― to mow hay with a scythe

   Tibils sameklēja otru izkapti,... uzasināja‎ ― Tibils found a second scythe... (and) sharpened it

2. blade (moving part of a mower or harvester machine that actually cuts grass, cereals, etc.)

   kombaina izkapts zobiņi‎ ― the teeth of the harvester blade
