Usage notes
- Note on irregular forms — глаза́ is actually an old nominative dual form. The genitive plural in глаз (glaz) is also an archaic form and was usual in Old Church Slavonic (глазъ (glazŭ)). In the locative case, the ъ (ŭ)-ending of Old Church Slavonic has become у (u) in the modern language: в глазу́.
