пронести́ • ‎(pronestí) pf ‎(imperfective проноси́ть)

1. to carry (by, past, through), smuggle, sneak

   я пыта́лся пронести́ ей еду́, но медсестра́ останови́ла меня́‎ ― ja pytálsja pronestí jej jedú, no medsestrá ostanovíla menjá ― I tried to sneak her some food, but the nurse stopped me

2. (impersonal, colloquial)

   пронесло́!‎ ― pronesló! ― the danger is over!

   е́ле пронесло́!‎ ― jéle pronesló! ― that was close

3. to carry with one (for a length of time)

   они́ пронесли́ па́мять об э́том че́рез всю жизнь‎ ― oní proneslí pámjatʹ ob étom čérez vsju žiznʹ ― they carried that memory with them for the rest of their lives

   пронести́ че́рез века́‎ ― pronestí čérez veká ― to retain through the centuries

4. (impersonal, colloquial)

   его́ пронесло́‎ ― jevó pronesló ― his bowels moved; he had diarrhoea
